Sr. AI Engineer

Job Description

The Sr. AI Engineer will play a lead role in developing and deploying artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions across enterprise systems. This position focuses on building smart algorithms that solve real business challenges from automation and optimization to predictive modelling. The engineer will collaborate with data scientists, developers, and business teams to integrate AI into practical, scalable tools that support innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Design: Build and deploy AI and machine learning models for use in automation, classification, and predictive analytics
• Data Preparation: Clean, preprocess, and manage large datasets for training and testing models
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver AI-powered solutions
• Research & Innovation: Stay updated on the latest developments in AI and apply new techniques when relevant
• Deployment & Monitoring: Support the rollout of models into production and monitor performance for improvement
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of AI workflows, tools, and model behaviour

Skills

• Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and neural networks
• Proficient in Python, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, and related frameworks
• Experience with data science libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical teams
• Experience with data pipelines, model evaluation, and A/B testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in AI engineering, machine learning, or applied data science
• Experience deploying production-ready AI models is highly preferred
