Job Description

The IT Sourcing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing IT procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines. This role works with internal teams and suppliers to streamline procurement processes, manage relationships, and enhance efficiency. The specialist will also evaluate and negotiate supplier contracts to ensure favorable terms and compliance with procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing Strategy: Develop sourcing plans to optimize IT procurement in terms of cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Research and evaluate potential suppliers based on capabilities, pricing, and service levels.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Procurement Management: Create Request for Proposal (RFPs) forms and manage supplier inquiries throughout the procurement process, ensuring compliance.
  • Supplier Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with key IT suppliers, monitoring performance and compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in procurement processes and recommend improvements, including automation.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, data analytics, and process automation tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of IT procurement and supplier management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A technology-related degree is a plus.
  • Min. 8 years of experience in IT procurement or sourcing, with a strong background in the technology sector.
  • Familiarity with Qatari procurement law and public sector regulations.
  • Experience with procurement automation tools and data analytics.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
