Head of Legal

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Head of Legal to oversee all legal aspects of the organization’s operations. This role is pivotal in shaping and safeguarding the legal and compliance framework of a diverse and fast-paced organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep regional expertise, strategic legal insight, and a proven track record in managing legal teams and advising executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all legal, compliance, and regulatory matters across the organization
• Lead corporate legal strategy, governance, and risk management initiatives
• Draft, review, and negotiate high-value contracts, including commercial and M&A transactions
• Ensure full legal compliance in corporate structuring and business operations
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on legal and policy matters
• Manage internal legal teams and coordinate with external counsel when necessary

Skills

• Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract management, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation
• Proven experience managing complex legal disputes and advising senior leadership
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Strategic thinker with problem-solving and decision-making skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) required; Master’s degree (LLM) preferred
• 15–20 years of legal experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Education from Tier-1 legal institutions is highly valued
• Experience establishing legal operations in the Middle East and India; Saudi exposure is advantageous
• Strong industry exposure in real estate, infrastructure, investments, or diversified portfolios
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are preferred
