IT Projects and Governance

  • Implement software life-cycle methodology
  • Develop and maintain information technology plans which outline project status individual tasks, milestones, completion estimates, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate the roll-out of beta and production releases
  • Inspect projects for quality assurance
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through post-project debrief with clients
  • Document all estimates, project statuses, and project completion paperwork
  • Work with the technical team to brainstorm new test ideas for technical projects
  • Working closely with business end users with excellent communications skills and ability to manage meetings
  • Manages and hires staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new employees.
  • Maintains the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans.
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data centres.
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and backup procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes.
  • Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets, and scheduling expenditures.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
  • Coordinate with HC and HRML for all Governance requirements
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the IT systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

IT Governance:

  • Status Reporting tool à to standardize and governance the reporting tool such as Smart Sheet or others
  • Create, Manage and control all department templates such as procurement tender processing and SOW.
  • Improve all IT dep. templates to the professional level
  • Escalating process and check points for all IT department tasks and mange delivery dates
  • Enhance the contracts and invoices management
  • Manage SALs
  • Release Management & Version Control:
    • Standardize the process of implementation as per the standard industry SDLC
    • Manage and control all releases
    • Approve the release after checking the compliance with the standard P&P
    • Maintain the repository of the RNs and versions
    • Maintain the backups and roll back procedures

PMO Office:

  • Manage the business requirements gathering, analysis, and solution design phases of any project and CR using the standard industry documents MD50, MD70, Technical specs, solution design, WF.
  • Communicate with business and manage all business meeting with the development team
  • Prepare and create the project plans and hand it to the development team or vendor for execution
  • Manage and Control all projects plans for projects and CRs using MS Projects – you have only the change access and others have read access
  • Oversee the other phases of all projects to ensure meeting the target dates up to successful implementation
  • Regular reporting to head of IT
  • To understand and study Insurance business in all modules
  • To manage the Motor insurance system as a project manager and an applications owner Major Projects:
    • ECI
    • New Web Site
    • Investment System
    • DR Project, 365, Data privacy and personalization
    • SOC and IT Security projects
    • Call Centre and CRM
    • Other as per the company need

Infrastructure:

  • Study the datacentre and provide the EA diagrams
  • Identify gaps and enhancements opportunities
  • Manage and enhance IT security and data privacy
  • Vendors Management regarding infra and HW

Applications:

  • To manage the Motor insurance system as a project manager and an applications owner
  • To manage CRM and Call center systems as applications owner

  • Ensures that all deliverables are thoroughly documented
  • Ensures that all deliverables and documentation are maintained in a well-structured folders

  • Number and quality of improvements are line with corporate expectations and implemented.
  • Ensure providing extra efforts (after working hours, weekends) whenever is requested by direct manager or ITM

  • Good documenting skills (Windows Office/Visio)
  • PMP is a must, ITIL is a plus, and other related certificates
  • Strong in IT Governance
  • Excellent Business and system analysis skills
  • Computer proficiency in programs such as SharePoint and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with IT standards such as SSAE SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA/HITECH, NIST, CSA/CCM
  • Solid HTML skills; familiarity with programming languages
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Business strategy aptitude
  • Decision-making and leadership skills
  • Some Technical: SharePoint, Smart Sheet, PowerApp
  • Business knowledge of GI, CTS, ERP
  • Testing and QA experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in IT or IT related field
  • 8 minimum years’ experience in analyzing functional software applications and IT project management, preferably, out of which at least 3 years with insurance applications.
  • Arabic speaking preferred
