Job Description

  • Conduct
    research to identify opportunities to improve Private Sector/SME ecosystem.
  • Understand
    challenges and problems facing private sector with focus on SMEs and
    engage the targeted group.
  • Collect
    and analyze data and information (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Support
    the Research & Data Management Manager and Research Specialist in
    producing knowledge papers and collating briefing material, to support
    developments and initiatives within the bank and the larger ecosystem.
  • Support
    the Research specialist in execution of research (sample sizes, qualifying
    factors, data collection and input, analysis, variance determination,
    etc.).
  • Ensure
    timely and qualitative data collection for all research initiatives.
  • Gather
    data on various  macroeconomic and financial sector developments on a
    regular basis and share the same with Research Specialist for further
    analysis and reporting.
  • Provide
    recommendations backed by data for new initiatives and special projects
    being undertaken at the organizational level.
  • Work in
    close coordination with the Research Specialist and conduct an extensive
    secondary research of credible sources to establish an informed foundation
    for conclusions, advice and recommended actions.
  • Ensure
    that data sources for the research database are identified and captured
    (including external sources, third party providers and internal data) in
    order to ensure source diversification.
  • Contribute
    to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of
    systems, processes and practices being deployed in the Research &
    Statistics department
  • Assist
    the Research Specialist in researching and developing ad-hoc requests of the company’s management to ensure that the bank’s senior management team has access
    to top quality research insights for decision making.
  • Provide
    banking departments with information or related good practices and propose
    new initiatives, products and services
  • Maintain
    knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the fields of research &
    statistics, business and finance.
  • Prepare
    annual managements reports in coordination with the Research Specialist.
  • Prepare high level reports for the senior
    management team detailing results of data analysis to ensure that the company stays
    abreast of constant changes.

Job Requirements

  1. Candidates must have at least 6 years of experience as a Researcher or in any similar position.
  2. Bilingual (Arabic and good command in English).
  3. Candidates on Transferrable or Family Dependent Visas are preferred.
  4. Can join immediately.
